About Me

My name is Kristi Kenney and I have a background working with activist communities, particularly in the context of collective projects (my favorite = bookstore collectives). I recently completed an MA in Integral Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Ecotherapy.

In 2007, I self-published a booklet called Counterbalance: What sustains us? What stops us? Thoughts on activism & mental health. My own struggles with burnout and depression informed my decision to study psychology, to write the Counterbalance booklet, and eventually to focus on the fields of ecopsychology and conservation psychology. I spent most of my life in Seattle, but now live in Berkeley, CA.
